It doesn’t necessarily effect my personal life, other than making me happier and more self confident. And it’s not too much of a time commitment, though I also have a part-time job, so if I have to work, and have a modeling job on the same day, it takes up my entire day. Plus school. So it’s not USUALLY an issue, but when it is, it’s do-able. And my tip would be to focus on what you want to achieve, and go for it. Don’t let anything hold you back.

I started out with a pure interest, and then spent countless hours looking for possible opportunities. I managed to find a few. My height as always been an issue, but I just overcome that by working harder and having such a drive to do what I love. Another issue/struggle was, being 14, I was considered too young by a lot of people in my local industry. Over the past 2 years (I’m now 16) I’ve gone to grown and look much more mature, which has fixed that problem. :)

I remember watching Canada’s Next Top Model when they were on cycle 3, the last cycle. There was a girl on there named Meaghan, who ended up winning. She went in to the competition with braces, brown hair, and a slightly awkward look. That’s exactly what I was like when I was 11. Anyway, I found the show so interesting, and it made me interested in modeling. I didn’t do anything about that interest for a few years, until I started looking around online at modeling opportunities.
I got the wonderful chance of working with Denis Duquette on Sunday. It was a great beauty styled shoot, so keep an eye out for photos in the near future!
Today I finally managed to get a copy of the issue of Line Magazine that I was in, and discovered that this photo was in it as well as the others! I had only seen the online version before, and this photo was not shown on that version. But seeing this in print totally made my day!
